A message from Rabbi Bella:
Beginning at sundown on August 12, we enter the Hebrew month of Elul, a gentle and beautiful season of spiritual preparation. Elul invites us to slow down, take an honest look at our lives, mend relationships where needed, express gratitude, and begin opening our hearts before Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur arrive. Rather than a month of guilt or fear, I like to think of Elul as God’s loving invitation to come a little closer.
As we prepare for the holidays, I hope you’ll make Temple Bet Yam part of that journey. Join us for worship, learning, music, and community. I especially look forward to lifting our voices together in song, because singing together has a unique way of knitting hearts into community. Invite a friend, a neighbor, or a family member who may be looking for a Jewish home. Our High Holy Day services are open to everyone—we do not charge for tickets. Whether you attend every service, just one, or somewhere in between, you are warmly welcome. We simply ask that you let us know in advance so we can make appropriate security arrangements.
This is an exciting new chapter for Temple Bet Yam. I look forward to sharing it with you and to building a vibrant, joyful, and welcoming Jewish community together.
